Our Sports & Fitness DTS is aimed at young people who want to deepen their relationship with God and who have a passion for sports and physical activity. We desire to see young people to truly "Know God and Make Him Known" through discipleship and faith in action. This is done through the 12 week lecture phase and 8 week outreach phase with an emphasis on sports and physical activity. So, get ready to be challenged both spiritually and physically in one of the most sports mad countries on earth - New Zealand.

Cost/Fees

Sports and Fitness DTS Fees:

$4000.00 (School fees) + $500 (Activity fee)

The school fees include:

Food, accommodation, and transportation for the duration of the school, this includes lecture phase.
Sporting/recreational activities on weekends
All office and administration costs.

U of N Fee: If you want to be registered for your course with the University of the Nations each student will need to pay $50NZD. This is optional, but if you want to further study or staff with YWAM you will need to be registered. (This is to be paid on the first week of the course, separate to other fees)

(All prices in New Zealand Dollars, Goods and Sales Tax (GST) is included and has to be paid by both New Zealand and Overseas students)

Outreach costs:

Minimum cost $6,000 - Maximum $8,500+ depending on outreach location and transport etc.

*The school fees do not include:

Any costs from before and after the start and end dates of the school ie. the week of re-entry and graduation, will be the applicant's responsibility (e.g. food and accommodation/travel expenses for early arrivals/later departures).

Costs for communications — Internet vouchers and other incidental expenses (e.g. laundry $2 per load) are not included in the fees

Immunisations if needed for outreach

Visa costs (if required to enter NZ)

Travel insurance for NZ and outreach (this is a mandatory requirement for all students unless exempt)

Personal spending money for both the lecture phase and outreach phase is not included in the fees.

Refund Policy

Once the students enroll, it is expected that they will complete the lecture phase and outreach phase. However, if the leadership feels that the student is unable to meet the spiritual, moral, and attitude standards of the school, then it will be necessary for the students to withdraw. The fees refunded as stated in our student info pack which will be sent after application.

Students are ALSO Responsible for...

International airfares to & from New Zealand to attend the Schools.
Personal expenses during the Schools.
Personal travel & expenses for weekends off & free time.
Costs for communications — postage, telephone & internet.
Church on Sundays.
Any special food.
Other incidental expenses (e.g. laundry/dry cleaning) that are not included in the fees.

Insurance:

We REQUIRE overseas students to obtain travel/health insurance covering the period of the school and field assignment before they arrive at the School. Family Ministries NZ will not be responsible for any medical cost incurred by students.
